Research Assistant, Department of Psychology, Vanderbilt University
We are seeking a recent college graduate for a research assistant position with a duration of 1-2 years in the laboratory of Alex Maier at the Department of Psychology at Vanderbilt University. Our laboratory focuses on visual perception and sensory awareness in the non-human primate model, using a combined of neurophysiological techniques and fMRI (see: http://maierlab.com). The position involves a mix of research and laboratory management. The ideal candidate would have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, previous research experience, and experience or coursework in computer programming (especially for data analysis and/or stimulus presentation in MATLAB). This is an excellent position for someone who would like to obtain additional research experience before going to graduate school.
