PhD studentship: attention, eye movements and remapping
Applications are invited for a PhD studentship in the group of Dirk
Kerzel in collaboration with Sabine Born at the University of Geneva,
Switzerland.
The project will address questions related to attention and (behavioral)
effects of remapping of visual information across saccadic eye
movements. The position is funded by the Swiss National Science
Foundation for three years and requires a Masters degree.
A strong background in experimental psychology, cognitive neuroscience,
quantitative methods or vision science is desirable. Programming skills
are a plus. Living in Geneva requires some knowledge of French or a
disposition to learn the language. The student will set up
psychophysical experiments involving eye tracking, recruit and test
participants, analyze data, present results at international conferences
and write research reports.
Applications will be considered until the end of Mai 2012. The start
date is flexible, but should be no later than September. Salary is
approximately 3800 – 4300 CHF before taxes. Please send résumé and
