Postdoctoral position at GWU
The George Washington University, Mind-Brain Institute seeks a postdoctoral
fellow with expertise in the lifespan development of human space perception
using psychophysical and fMRI methods. This position is funded by a grant to
foster interdisciplinary research among the labs of Dr. John Philbeck, Dr.
Sarah Shomstein, and Dr. Francys Subiaul. The review of applications will
start immediately. The appointment is for one year, with annual extensions
based on successful performance. Start date is flexible.
Required qualifications:
. PhD (completed before the start date)
* strong research background in the cognitive neurosciences
* strong programming skills (MATLAB/Psychtoolbox preferred)
* experience with visual psychophysics
Highly preferred qualifications:
* background in lifespan development, vision research, scene
perception, or related fields
* experience with fMRI, or other neuroimaging methods
* ability and desire to conduct independent research
* experience with and/or interest in multi-method research approaches
