POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN THE COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE (EEG) OF IMPLICIT PERCEPTION AND INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION. 

A postdoctoral fellowship is available at the California Institute of Technology (Pasadena, California) for the study of the behavioral and neurobiological basis of implicit perception, social communication, emotion and decision-making. The fellows will be supported by the JST (Japan Science & Technology Agency) CREST project, which is a joint research project between the NTT Communication Science Laboratories and Shimojo Psychophysics Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology. Research may involve novel integrations of cognitive neuroscience methods, such as reaction time, eye tracking, fMRI, TMS and tDCS(tACS), but mainly around high-density EEG to study interpersonal communication at implicit levels. The research focus is thus defined broadly, and negotiable upon discussion. This highly interdisciplinary position will provide training in the various areas that inform the new fields of cognitive neuroscience, and will take advantage of Caltech's broad expertise via internal collaborations. Candidates should have completed a Ph.D. or/and M.D. and have relevant research experience that might include, but is not limited to, technical and experimental aspects of EEG. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Positions are available to start immediately although consideration will be given to candidates who would prefer a later start date. It is a one-year position, although renewable upon performance up to 2  years.
