The Australasian Ophthalmology and Vision Science meeting (AOVSM) has been run every year (except 2009) since 1994 when it was held in Hobart where it ran as a parallel session of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology (RANZCO) meeting. After that it was held annually at different venues around Australia. The meeting has always received support from the Ophthalmic Research Institute of Australia (ORIA). The meeting is intended to have a similar theme to the original ARVO meetings: visual science meets clinical research. Thus presentations can range from clinical research to visual neurophysiology and psychophysics.

Beginning in 2010 AOVSM has returned to being held in parallel with the annual RANZCO meeting, and is being held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from November 26 through to November 28.

We hope to see you there.

Ted
