Job Title: Research Associate position in Computer Vision/Graphics at
IMI-NTU, Singapore

Job Context:
BeingThere Centre or the "International Research Centre for Tele-Presence
and Tele-Collaboration" is a
joint effort between NTU (Singapore), ETHZ (Switzerland) and UNC (USA).
Co-Directors of the
BeingThere Centre are Prof. Nadia Magnenat-Thalmann for NTU, Prof. Markus
Gross for ETHZ and
Prof. Henry Fuchs for UNC. The objective of BeingThere Centre is to make
major technological and
systems-level advances leading to a credible, 3D experience of
tele-presence. An important part of the
research consists of developing key enabling technologies for tele-presence
and covers all relevant
aspects ranging from real-time 3D capture, data representation, image and
3D data processing,
transmission, rendering and displays.

Job Description:
The NTU branch of the BeingThere Centre is located in the Institute for
Media Innovation (IMI
http://imi.ntu.edu.sg) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU
http://www.ntu.edu.sg) in Singapore.
We invite applications for one research associate position. The position is
to contribute to the research
conducted in computer vision and computer graphics, in the context of the
BeingThere Centre
(http://imi.ntu.edu.sg/BeingThereCentre).

Job Requirements:
The job is to provide research support for 3D tele-presence applications of
the BeingThere Centre.
Therefore applicants are required to have the following skills:
- Master degree or good Bachelor degree in computer science or related
areas.
- Experience in Computer Vision/Graphics.
- Passionate in working with 3D systems.
- Excellent programming knowledge in C++. Matlab is a plus.
- Experienced in application development.
- Good interpersonal and communication skill. Must be fluent in both spoken
and written English
