One postdoctoral position is available immediately, for a period of three years, to investigate the neural basis of audiovisual integration in nonhuman primate models. This work involves the use of psychophysics, deactivation, and functional imaging techniques.
Applicants are expected to have strong background in Systems/Cognitive neuroscience and training in neuronal recording, psychophysics and animal behavior. Quantitative and programming (MatLab) skills in are assets.
This research is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. Our laboratory is part of the Centre for Neuroscience Studies at Queen’s University, which has a strong Systems Neuroscience focus and includes a state-of-the-art facility for nonhuman primates. Queen’s University is a top rank, midsize research University in Canada. Kingston is an historic University town located strategically midway between Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa.
This project is a collaboration between Martin Pare, Kevin Munhall and Ingrid Johnsrude at Queen's University, as well as Stephen Lomber at Western University.
