A position at the Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Associate level is
available in the Visual Neurophysiology Laboratory of Professor
Rudiger von der Heydt at the Johns Hopkins University. We are looking
for a collaborator on a new project aimed at understanding the
updating of cortical visual representations across saccades and object
movements. We use multiple microelectrode recording in behaving
macaques combined with computational modeling. The candidate should
have a strong quantitative background and experience in single cell
recording in behaving animals. The position could be for 2-4 years.

The Laboratory is in the Mind/Brain Institute which is a center of
systems neuroscience. The Johns Hopkins University has an exceptional
concentration of research into the neural processes underlying
perception, cognition and the control of action, including the visual,
auditory and tactile modalities. Collaborative research in the
Mind/Brain Institute includes the Departments of Neuroscience,
Biomedical Engineering, and Psychological and Brain Sciences. We have
close collaboration with the Computational Neuroscience Lab (Ernst
Niebur) in the same Institute. For further information about the Von
der Heydt Lab see http://vlab.mb.jhu.edu.

The Mind/Brain Institute is located on the beautiful Homewood Campus
of the Johns Hopkins University.

The Johns Hopkins University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative
Action Employer.
Candidates should send a statement of interests, CV, letters of
reference, and PDFs of representative publications, to Dr. Rudiger von
der Heydt (von.der.heydt at jhu.edu)
