Hi All,
I want to automatically collecting photometer readings from my Minolta
CS-100A. I have found posts about using the serial port functions to
do this. However, I'm currently at the stage of making the connection
between the photometer and computer. I have the connector for the
photometer. I understand that it will connect to the RS-232 (serial)
port on the computer but I do not know which pins on the photometer
connect to which pins on the serial port connector.
I know the following from Minolta manual:
Minolta:
PIN3 = Busy signal (output from photometer)
PIN8 = Data out (from photometer)
PIN10 = Clock out (from photometer)
PIN11 = Measurement request (input to photometer)
Does anyone have any ideas which pins these should connect to on the
serial port?
I think that minolta has a cable for sale but the one that I found was
nearly $200 which seems silly when I can create it for much less on my
own.
Thanks for any help!
Joe
