The School of Psychology at Plymouth University is seeking to appoint two Postdoctoral Fellows, starting 1 October 2012 (or as soon as possible thereafter). You will be part of a large, vibrant, highly collaborative, and interdisciplinary research community.

In the 2008 34.5 members of staff from the School were submitted to the RAE, making Plymouth the 12th largest research School of Psychology in the UK. 85% of our research was rated at international standard.

Research in the School of Psychology is organised around the University Research Centre in Brain, Cognition and Behaviour (http://www.plymouth.ac.uk/research/cbcb), which is part of the larger interdisciplinary University Cognition Institute (http://www.plymouth.ac.uk/pages/view.asp?page=38653 ). All areas are supported by extensive laboratories that were completely refurbished in 2008. We are looking to appoint 2 Research Fellows to lead independent research programmes that will complement our current strengths.

You will be highly motivated with a good first degree and PhD in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, or related discipline. You must have a demonstrable track-record of international-level research activity and excellent communication skills.

Both positions are full-time working 37 hours per week and are fixed-term for a period of 2 years.
