POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS LPP, PARIS, FRANCE WITH PATRICK CAVANAGH, THÉRÈSE
COLLINS, AND MARK WEXLER

Starting date: January 2013 or later

3 postdoctoral positions are available to work at the Laboratoire
Psychologie de la Perception (http://lpp.psycho.univ-paris5.fr/), Paris,
France where we are part of the Vision Group that also includes Andrei
Gorea, Pascal Mamassian, and Kevin O’Regan.

The postdocs will collaborate in designing and running experiments on
attention, action, eye movements, visual, auditory and tactile perception.
One of the positions involves visits to collaborating sites in Munich
(Heiner Deubel) and Amsterdam (Jan Theeuwes). Another is only open to German
graduates who completed their doctorate less than 4 years ago via the Feodor
Lynen Research Fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

Training in vision research and eye movement recording is important, as is
programming proficiency. (We program in Matlab, Python, and C++.)

French language is not a requirement but the opportunity to learn is
certainly one of many charms of life in Paris. Net salary is minimum of
2,000 euros per month, according to French standards. The initial
appointment is for one year, renewable at least once.

Applications should be sent by email (paris.postdoc at gmail.com ) and should
include a CV, a brief statement of research interests, the expected date of
availability and the names of 3 references. We will be at ECVP for any
applicants who would like to have an interview there.

Applications should be sent preferably before October 1st, 2012, but later
applications will be considered until the positions are filled.
