[visionlist] Signal delay in D-Sub, DVI and HDMI

HDMI to DVI-D conversion is just a set of wires. There is no electronics and no perceivable delay as far as the converter is concerned. A HDMI source is required to recognize a DVI-D device and send out the appropriate signal.

There can be delay between the two video outputs on the graphics card, (but unlikely if you run them in mirror mode and at the same refresh rate. Check with a photodiode and an oscilloscope if you want to be sure, or just put the screens side-by-side, display a flickering stimulus to both, and look.

Regards,
Bosco
