Cognition lab at UCSD. We are housed in the Psychology Department and also

DESCRIPTION

Under supervision the PI, the Research Associate will study perception and
cognitive control using psychophysics, EEG, fMRI, DTI, and computational
methods. Duties include interaction with human subjects, ordering of
supplies and processing reimbursements for lab members, Matlab programming,
signal processing using wavelet and coherence methodologies, computational
modeling of single and multi-unit neural activity, and fMRI processing.
Occasionally works nights and weekends.

 

This is a 75% Career position for 2 years, with possibility of extension and
becoming a 100% appointment dependent on funding.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

.  Theoretical knowledge in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Biomedical
or Electrical Engineering, applied Mathematics, Computer Science, such as is
acquired by a Master's Degree or equivalent experience.

.  Experience with general principles of signal processing and computational
modeling. Excellent mathematical skills.

.  Excellent programming skills in Matlab and potentially other programming
languages (Python, C++, etc).

.  Ability to supervise and train lab staff. Experience interacting
effectively with co-workers as well as subjects.

.  Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, writing and
over the phone.

.  Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with Human Subjects
requirements.
