initiative. Pittsburgh is a city with a vibrant and collaborative
research community that includes Carnegie Mellon University, the
University of Pittsburgh, and the University of Pittsburgh Medical
Center. TarrLab has collaborative projects with other laboratories in
the Psychology Department at CMU, Computer Science, Statistics, Machine
Learning, and Univ. of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Over the past two
decades Pittsburgh has re-invented itself as research, educational and
medical hub, with a vibrant arts scene, sports teams, extensive urban
