Dear all

or Senior Lecturer grade.

For those not familiar with the UK system, these are approx equiv to
assistant/associate professor. They are nominally 50:50 research and
teaching. We are a very strong School, with an ethos to support research as
much as possible, especially for young lecturers / senior lecturers.
We were top of the RAE 2008 for 'research power', 'excellent' in the
teaching quality assessment, have good critical mass in vision, cog neuro,
imaging and many other areas (are one of the largest Psych Schools in the
UK), but we are also friendly and collegiate.
We have plenty of labs, and multimodal imaging in CUBRIC: MRI, MEG, EEG,
TMS, dcbs.
To be competitive for these positions, you will need to convince the
committee that you have a future as a international scientist, publishing in
top specialist (and where appropriate, interdisciplinary) journals, able to
obtain grant funding, supervise and inspire young researchers, teach
effectively and contribute to the academic life of the School.
If you are interested, feel free to contact me for more information. If you
send a brief CV and publication list, I can give some guidance as to where
you might stand in the competition (my judgement, not official).
