TIMELY (EU COST funded Action; www.timely-cost.eu) is organizing a Training
School on "Timing and Time Perception: Procedures, Measures, &
Applications" in collaboration with the Department of Informatics, Ionian
University. The Training School will take place from Monday February 4th to
Friday Febrary 8th at the Ionian University, Corfu, Greece and will include
both "hands-on" lab sessions and theoretical lectures.
The tentative program includes the following:
*Lecture & Lab Session*: Production, reproduction, and verbal estimation of
duration

duration-bisection and ordinal-comparison timing procedures

*Lecture & Lab Session*: Temporal Preparation Task

*Lecture & Lab Session*: Measuring sensorimotor synchronization abilities
By S. Dalla Bella
*Lab Session*: MatTAP: A Matlab toolbox for sensorimotor synchronisation
experiments.
By M. T. Elliott
*Lecture & Demo Session*: Nonverbal synchrony in social interaction:

A detailed program will be uploaded soon on

A limited number of students will be admitted to the Training School and
will be funded for up to 500 euros (travel, subsistence, and accommodation;
must keep all receipts). Funding can only be provided for students who
attend for the whole duration of the training school and present a poster
during the student poster session. The posters can either focus on already
conducted work or on planned work. Accommodation for students (shared
rooms) can be arranged by the organizers.
Prospective participants should be at advanced Master, PhD or Post-Doc
level and should be from a COST country (
http://www.cost.eu/about_cost/cost_countries; Non COST participants are
welcome to apply for participation but will not be eligible for the grant).

• Title and Abstract of the poster that will be presented in the student
poster session (in WORD; Structure: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Abstract)
• Whether you prefer hotel reservations or arrange for lodging yourself.
The deadline for applications is October 28th, 2012. On November 1st, 2012,
we will inform those students who will be funded.
