POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT (VISUAL PROCESSING AND ELITE SPORT) 

POST REFERENCE: RLS2092 

Grade 7: Salary: 27,578 - 30,122 (UK pounds) per annum 

Fixed-term post for 2 years 

Closing Date: 5pm on 13th November 2012

 

 

School of Optometry & Vision Science (Life Sciences), University of
Bradford, UK.

 

 

Description: You will be expected to assist with the development and
piloting of computer-based programs for testing of visual processing
abilities. Once programming tasks have been completed, duties will then
switch to data collection and analysis so that data collection and analyses
for the BBSRC funded project "Linking Perception to Action in Sport: Does
superior visual perception explain why good players make it look easy?" are
completed.

 

This project represents a collaboration between the University of Bradford
(lead institution, School of Optometry & Vision Science and School of
Engineering, Design & Technology), the University of St. Andrews (The School
of Psychology & Neuroscience), Liverpool John Moores University School of
Sport and Exercise Sciences) and local & national external partners.

 

The post will involve periods working at The School of Psychology &
Neuroscience at St Andrews. You will be will be given the opportunity to
present findings at national and international conferences and be
responsible for contributing to the preparation first drafts of research
output documents.
