The University of Houston College of Optometry is seeking a well qualified Optometrist to teach and supervise students at a busy urban clinic in Fort Worth, Texas.
Universities Eye Clinic is a University of Houston College of Optometry/University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry service.
The successful candidate will have residency training in the area of ocular disease, or significant clinical experience in the treatment and management of ocular disease, especially glaucoma.
The candidate will be expected to provide direct patient care to an underserved population within the Fort Worth inner city and to supervise externs and residents within the clinic.
In addition, the candidate will be responsible for the overall clinic operations, including supervising support staff. The candidate must be eligible for optometric licensure in the State of Texas.
The applicant will be appointed as a member of the Visiting Faculty member within the UH College of Optometry. Salary and rank will be based on qualifications and training.
The position is available in November 2012.
