Our research focuses on studying neural coding and computation, and then applying what we learn to the development of prosthetic devices and robots.  Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in neuroscience, electrical engineering, or a related field, and be excited about translating basic science discoveries into solutions to real-world problems. Weill Cornell Medical College is among the top-ranked clinical and medical research centers in the country. Founded in 1898, the Medical College is part of a large biomedical enterprise extending along York Avenue between 65th and 72nd streets on Manhattan's Upper East Side that includes Rockefeller University and  Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Many of the graduate programs and seminar series are jointly run by the three institutions, making it a fun and vibrant learning environment
