The Research School of Engineering, ANU College of Engineering + Computer
Science seeks to appoint a Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow with
expertises in the area of 3D computer vision and/or mobile robot visual
SLAM. 
 
The position is available in a fixed term capacity for an initial period of
two years. Annual salary package is $76,982 - $95,407 pa plus 17%
superannuation (i.e. calculated at current rate of ANU salary level-A6/8,
with total salary package starting from $90K (for PhD) with superannuation
inclusive). Expected starting date for this position is early 2013.
 
The successful applicant will contribute to an on-going Australia Research
Council’s Discovery Grant to research and develop advanced computer vision
and/or mobile robotics theories and algorithms for large scale 3D scene
visual reconstruction, mobile robot 3D mapping and 6DoF SLAM.
 
 
The candidate is expected to have a PhD degree in Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or Physics with expertises in computer
vision, multiview geometry, 3D modelling, and/or mobile robot visual SLAM.
 
 
Having a strong research record is essential or highly desirable, which may
be evidenced by (1) have been involved in substantially high-quality
research projects at international level, and (2) have excellent publication
records (such as having first-author papers in recent vision or robotics
conferences including ICCV, CVPR, ECCV, and/or RSS,ICRA,IROS, or
SIGGRAPH/Eurographics etc).
 
 
The successful applicant will be expected to initiate his/ her own research
topic within the project/group’s research themes. In return, you will be
