A new NIH-funded postdoctoral position is immediately available at the
Vision Center Laboratory of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in
La Jolla. The project is led by Tom Albright and Sergei Gepshtein. The
focus is on adaptive mechanisms of motion sensitivity, in particular the
changes of neuronal selectivity in the primary visual cortex of
non-human primates. Desirable qualifications include considerable
experience and independence in single-cell recording, and interest in
sensory psychophysics and mathematical modeling of neural function.
