POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT (£28,402 pa)
This project (funded by the ESRC) explores the relationship between visual processing and emotional processing of visual patterns. Everyday visual operations such as binding, regularity detection, figure-ground separation and perceptual prediction error detection may impact on our emotional system. We are developing ways of measuring the links between these processes. Responsibilities will include recruitment of participants, running behavioural and EEG experiments, analysing data and reporting results. You should hold a degree in Psychology or cognate area and have experience with behavioural experiments. Programming experience, and experience with EEG or eye tracking technology would be an advantage. The post is available for 3 years.
