The Department of Psychology at the University of Massachusetts
Amherst (http://www.psych.umass.edu) is inviting applications for a
tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in its
Cognitive Psychology Division, starting in Fall, 2013. Applicants
must have a Ph.D. and post-doctoral training in Cognitive Psychology,
Cognitive Neuroscience, or a related discipline, an excellent
publication record, clear ability to establish a federally-funded
program of research involving human subjects of any age, and a strong
commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. The candidate
will interact with faculty in both cognitive psychology and
neuroscience, as well as other groups within the Department and
across campus. Ideal candidates will integrate quantitative modeling
and neuroscience methods with core interests in one or more of the
following areas: memory, attention, decision-making, or language
processing.
Candidates should expect to become an active member of
the Graduate Program in Cognitive Psychology (http://
www.psych.umass.edu/coglink) and may also participate in the Graduate
Program in Neuroscience and Behavior (http://www.umass.edu/neuro)
that includes faculty members from the Departments of Psychology,
Biology, Chemistry, Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Biochemistry and
Molecular Biology, Computer Science, and other departments.

research interests and teaching philosophy, curriculum vitae, sample
publications, and the names and contact information of three
references. We will begin to review applications on December 7,
2012, and we will continue to accept applications until the position
