Dear Colleagues,
the submission website of the IAPR endorsed conference ICIAP 2013 in
Naples is open (https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/ICIAP2013/).
The submission deadline is March 08, 2013. Don't miss it!
We announce that five Keynote Speakers in Pattern Recognition and
Computer Vision will be at ICIAP 2013:
Antonio Torralba, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA
Ching Y. Suen, Concordia University, Canada
Sankar K. Pal, Indian Statistical Institute, India
Jiri Matas, Czech Technical University, Czech Republic
Fei-Fei Li, Stanford University, USA
All the accepted papers will be presented in single-track oral sessions
and will be published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science volumes by
Springer.
We also enjoy to announce that best awarded papers will be considered
for further publication on Pattern Recognition Letters journal.

International Conference on Image Analysis and Processing (ICIAP) 2013
September 11-13, 2013

The International Conference on Image Analysis and Processing (ICIAP) is
endorsed by the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR)
and is organized every two years by the Italian Group of Researchers in
Pattern Recognition (GIRPR), which is the Italian IAPR Member Society,
with the aim to bring together researchers in image processing and
pattern recognition from around the world. The main target of the 17th
edition of ICIAP will be to provide a place in which the most recent
approaches and achievements in pattern recognition, machine learning,
and image analysis can be discussed.
Main topics of this edition include Image Processing and Analysis with
relation to:
- Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning
- Human Recognition Systems
- BioMedical Imaging and Applications
- Multimedia Interaction and Processing
- 3D Computer Vision
- Understanding Objects and Space
ICIAP 2013 - IMPORTANT DEADLINES

ICIAP 2013 - CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS
The Proceedings of ICIAP 2013 will be published in the Springer Lecture
Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series, indexed as peer-reviewed
publication in the Web of Science. The length of the papers is max 10
pages (with references included; always an even number of pages).
Papers will be selected based on their originality, timeliness,
significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. Submission implies
the willingness of at least one author per paper to register, attend the
conference, and present the paper.
ICIAP 2013 - PATTERN RECOGNITION LETTERS SPECIAL SECTION
IAPR best papers awarded at ICIAP 2013 and the Caianiello best paper for
young authors, after extensions and further revisions, will be published
in a special section of Pattern Recognition Letters.
ICIAP 2013 - PROPOSALS FOR TUTORIALS AND WORKSHOPS
Half-day tutorials will be given on the first day of the Conference,
September 11, 2013. ICIAP 2013 satellite workshops to be held the days
before the Conference (September 9 and 10, 2013) are also welcome.
Proposals for tutorials and workshops should be submitted no later than
January 25, 2013.
