Senior Research Optometrist (OPTEGRA Eye Sciences Associate)

£29,541 - £36,298 per annum

Applications are invited for the above post to work with Dr Hema Radhakrishnan and Dr Clare O'Donnell on a  KTP funded research project. The senior research optometrist will act as a Knowledge Transfer Associate to support the clinical team in the Optegra group of eye hospitals in running clinical trials and in the scientific evaluation of treatment outcome measures. The project is a collaborative effort between the Eye and Vision Sciences research group in the Faculty of Life Sciences and Optegra Eye Sciences (http://www.optegra.com/).   Optegra is a specialist provider of ophthalmology services and operates six specialist private eye hospitals in the UK as well as locations in Germany.  The successful candidate will be based at Optegra Manchester Eye Hospital (Manchester, UK) and will be required to travel to other Optegra sites. The research optometrist on this project will work with the Head of Eye Sciences, Eye Sciences Manager and the clinical teams at Optegra hospitals to develop, design and run clinical trials.
