[visionlist] Deadline extended! - IEEE ICC Workshop on Video Quality Driven Multimedia Streaming in Mobile Wireless Networks - 2nd call

Dear colleagues,

I apologize for cross-posting.

We would like to invite you or your colleagues to submit a paper to
this year’s  Workshop on Video Quality Driven Multimedia Streaming in
Mobile Wireless Networks (QoSTREAM) that will be held in conjunction
with IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), between
June 9-13 2013 in Budapest, Hungary.

ICC is one of the two flaghsip conferences of the IEEE Communications
Society. Each year the ICC conference attracts about 2-3.000 submitted
scientific papers, a technical program committee involving about 1.500
experts provides more than 10.000 reviews, the conference being
finally attended by 1.500 - 2.000 professionals from all around the
world. IEEE ICC is therefore one of the most significant scientific
events of the networking and communications community, a must-attend
forum for both industrials and academics working in this area.

The QoSTREAM workshop provides a unique opportunity to exchange ideas
and collaborate, to researchers dealing with end-to-end quality- and
content-aware multimedia delivery over the wireless networks. It is
intended to provide annual meeting point for researchers working in
the domain of Quality-of-Experience (QoE)-aware multimedia
communications over next-generation wireless networks, with special
emphasis on 3D/multiview quality and transmission. We solicit both
paper and demos relevant to these topics. Selected papers from the
workshop will be published in a special issue of Multimedia Tools and
Applications journal. In the past, IEEE workshop papers were included
in the conference proceedings and published on IEEE Xplore.

Our keynote will be delivered by Dr. Aljoscha Smolic, a Senior
Research Scientist and Head of the "Advanced Video Technology" group
at Disney Research Zurich, Switzerland, and will focus on "Advanced 3D
Video Processing and Coding".

Important dates for the workshop are as below:

* Abstract deadline: January 25, 2013 (extended)
* Paper deadline: January 25, 2013  (extended)
* Notification of acceptance: February 22, 2013
* Camera ready deadline: March 8, 2013
