[visionlist] CVRS 2013 - abstract submission extension

We have had a very good response in terms abstract submissions, so the CVRS 2013 conference promises to be excellent and exciting. However, we have had requests to extend the deadline so we will keep the abstract submission open until Friday 25th January.

The XIV Biennial Meeting of the Child Vision Research Society,
June 17 to 19, 2013, Ontario, Canada
held at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry & Vision Science and the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
This conference is fully dedicated to the vision of infants and children from basic science all the way to patient management, for children with typical and atypical development.

Keynotes are as follows
Susan Cotter, Professor, Southern California School of Optometry, will speak on Monday 17th June. Title to be confirmed.

Daphne Maurer (Tues 18th ) Professor, Department of Psychology, McMaster University "Critical Periods Re-examined: Evidence from Children Treated for Congenital Cataract".

Dave Saint-Amour (Wed 19th) Professor, Department of Psychology " Binocular vision processing: From integration to suppression"



The Child Vision Research Society (http://www.cvrsoc.org/) comprises researchers and clinicians from many different countries interested in the development of vision in infancy and childhood under normal and abnormal conditions. A wide range of disciplines, including anatomy, neurology, optometry, ophthalmology, physiology, psychology and rehabilitation are represented in the CVRS.
This is the first time that the CVRS conference will be held in North America and it will bring together delegates from all over the world.  This scientific meeting provides an opportunity for the exchange of new ideas and findings between basic scientists and clinicians concerned with vision in infants and children.
