Position Summary

VideoMining Corporation is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Applied Research Scientist in the area of computer vision and data analytics for supporting the company’s long-term growth mission.

VideoMining is a leading provider of software-based services for converting video into actionable information. Responsibilities

We are looking for a self-motivated professional who can work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Day-to-day activities include:

  *   innovation for developing technologies to support established research goals and product road map,
  *   implementation, experimentation, and administration in relation to the projects,
  *   monitoring, maintenance, optimization of the development, and
  *   technical writing related to grants and patents.

Experience/Skill

Required experiences/skills for the ideal candidate include:

  *   a doctorate degree (Ph. D. or equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, information science, or a related field,
  *   strong experience in image processing and computer vision,
  *   excellent written and verbal communication, work planning, data analysis, and documentation skill, with an attention to detail,
  *   ability to work both independently and in team settings,
  *   a self-motivated mindset and problem solving skills to be creative, flexible to various tasks, and determined to achieve goals in challenging situations.

Preferred experiences (but not required) include:

  *   programming skill using C++,  Java, C#, and scripting languages, such as Python and JavaScript,
  *   experience in Web Services, and ASP.net,
  *   2+ years of post-degree relevant academic or industrial experience in a similar role.
