EPFL's Biomedical Imaging Group invites participants to register for the
3D Deconvolution Microscopy Challenge that will take place in the
framework of the 2013 ISBI conference.

ISBI is IEEE's flagship conference on biomedical imaging. The challenge
is officially endorsed by the IEEE Signal Processing Society's Bio
Imaging and Signal Processing (BISP) Technical Committee. More
information about these events is available here:

http://www.biomedicalimaging.org/2013/program/isbi-challenges/

The aim of the challenge is to benchmark existing deconvolution
algorithms and software packages, as well as to stimulate the community
to look for novel, global and practical approaches to this problem. The
challenge will be organized as a three-stage tournament (training,
qualification and final). It will be based on novel realistic-looking
synthetic data sets representing various sub-cellular structures. In
addition it will rely on a number of common and advanced performance
metrics to objectively assess the quality of the results.

Detailed information on the challenge and a registration form can be
found here:

Training data is now available and participants are invited to register
by January 28, 2013.

Please forward this announcement to other colleagues working in the
field of image deconvolution.
