Research Associate

Applications are invited for a post-doctoral Research Associate based at
the UCL Institute of Neurology, Queen Square under the supervision of Dr
Paul Bays. The successful candidate will work on a Wellcome Trust funded
research project investigating memory processes supporting human
perception and action. The research combines behavioural testing of
working memory, visual attention and movement planning with mathematical
modelling of underlying cognitive and neural processes. The researcher
will design, conduct and analyze research on this project in
consultation with Dr Bays, and write and communicate results as
scientific papers and in scientific presentations at national and
international conferences.

Applicants should have (or be about to receive) a PhD in a relevant
subject, with a strong analytical background. Programming experience
with Matlab, C or equivalent is essential. Applicants will need to
demonstrate a record of research success and the ability to work
creatively and independently.

The post is available immediately and is funded until September 2015.
Starting salary on UCL Grade 7, £32,375 -– £37,057 pa including London
Allowance, superannuable.
