TITLE: Postgraduate Scholarship in Visual Cognition



DESCRIPTION: A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate with a good honours degree in psychology, science or computer science to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in visual cognition. The project is to examine behaviour in complex environments (like visual search in cluttered scenes) by using genetic algorithms.



ELIGIBILITY: Applicants should have knowledge in visual perception and visual search, excellent programming, and writing skills. Applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens.



AMOUNT AWARDED: The scholarship is valued at $24,653 per annum (tax exempt) and may be renewed for up to three years, subject to satisfactory progress.
