POSTDOCTORAL POSITION WITH ANDREI GOREA
Laboratoire Psychologie de la Perception (LPP), PARIS, FRANCE

Starting date: June 2013 and not later than September 2013

One postdoctoral position is available to work at 
the Laboratoire Psychologie de la Perception ( 
http://lpp.psycho.univ-paris5.fr/), Paris, France 
where I am part of the Vision Group that also 
includes Patrick Cavanagh, Pascal Mamassian, Mark 
Wexler, Thérèse Collins and Kevin O’Regan.

The postdoc will contribute to a psychophysical 
and modeling project on the perceived duration of 
moving objects within different spatio-temporal 
contexts and, in particular, in 3D scenes. The 
project is part of a larger one involving two 
other teams, one doing monkey physiology (Pierre 
Pouget’s group at ICM in Paris), and another one 
doing pharmacological and fMRI research on time 
perception (Jennifer Coull, LNC in Marseille). 
The successful applicant will collaborate with either of these groups.

The applicant will have prior experience in 
vision research, psychophysics and possibly but 
not necessarily, eye-movements recordings. Prior 
interest in time perception will be appreciated. 
The applicant should have programming proficiency 
with Matlab (or/and Python, and/or C++). 
Experience with OpenGL will be particularly appreciated.

French language is not a requirement.

Net salary is about 2,100 euros neto per month, 
according to French standards. The initial 
appointment is for one year, renewable once.
