Visual landmark detection and matching for image-based localization

MATIS laboratory of IGN (the French mapping agency) is looking for a
post-doctoral researcher in the areas of photogrammetry and computer
vision. The post-doc will focus on the study of matching algorithms for
precise registration of images that are acquired in urban areas. The
main challenge is in employing high level visual landmarks such as
traffic signs, road markings and other stable urban features in a 2D-2D
and 2D-3D matching paradigm in order to provide the required
measurements for a global bundle adjustment.

Location: IGN/MATIS, Saint-Mandé (near Paris), France.

Duration: 18 months
