A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratories of Drs. Long Ding and Joshua Gold at the University of Pennsylvania. We use a combination of behavioral, electrophysiological and computational techniques to study how the basal ganglia pathway contributes to decision making. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in neuroscience-related discipline and be proficient in spoken and written English. Prior experience in in vivo electrophysiology is a plus. Strong quantitative skills, including MATLAB programming and computational modeling, would also be valuable.
