Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in Dr. Taosheng
Liu's lab at Michigan State University. We are seeking highly qualified
individuals to collaborate on projects investigating the neural
mechanisms of attentional control, both in terms of the neuroanatomic
basis of the control signal and how attention modulates perceptual
representations. The main experimental approach includes visual
psychophysics, fMRI, and computational modeling. The candidate should
have a recent Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Neuroscience,
Computer Science) and shared interests in the core research area. A
research background in perception and attention is ideal. Proficiency in
programming is necessary (e.g., Matlab, Python, C/C++), and computing
experience on the GNU/Linux platform is useful. Experience with fMRI is
highly desirable but not required (experience with other techniques such
as EEG/ERP, TMS, is also welcome). The successful candidate will have
the opportunity to initiate new projects.

The position is available immediately, with a preferred starting date
before September 1, 2013. The initial appointment is one year with the
opportunity of renewal for additional years. Review of candidates will
start May 15, 2013 and will continue until the position is filled.
Informal inquiry is welcome via email to _tsliu at msu.edu
<mailto:tsliu at msu.edu>_. Application should include a CV, a brief
statement of research interests, the expected date of availability, and
the names and contact of three referees. To apply, go to

and enter 7562 in the Posting Number field.
