We would like to remind potential authors that the Journal of Vision 
has a program to waive page charges for authors from designated 
countries, including  Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, 
Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia, South Africa, Turkey, Ukraine, 
and Yugoslavia (complete list at 
http://www.soros.org/openaccess/grants-journals.shtml). The funds are 
provided by a grant from the Open Society Institute of the Soros 
Foundation. Funds are limited, and will be allocated in order of 
application. Further details are available upon request.
