POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE POSITIONS IN COGNITIVE NUEROSCIENCE AT=20=
THE UNIVERSITY OF REGENSBURG (GERMANY)
Two post-doctoral positions in Cognitive Neuroscience are available in=20=
the Department of Psychology, University of Regensburg, Germany in the=20=
newly established cognitive neuroscience lab beginning October 1, 2003,=20=
for an initial period 3 years. The research should use functional MRI=20=
to investigate visually guided oculomotor behavior in visual search=20
tasks, response inhibition in saccadic Go/NoGo tasks (see our VSS=20
poster), visual memory and memory masking, as well as the effects of=20
frontal lobe damage on performance in these tasks. Laboratory=20
facilities include a 1.5 T Siemens Sonata, visual/auditory stimulation,=20=
MRI-compatible EEG and Eyetracking equipment. Candidates should have a=20=
background in visual neuroscience, fMRI/EEG and/or psychophysics.=20
Computer programming (Delphi, C++) and MRI-post-processing skills (SPM,=20=
BrainVoyager) would be advantageous. The salary follows German civil=20
service regulations (C1, BAT) and is not dependent on grant funding.=20
Minimal teaching in experimental methods will be required. Command of=20
