The project, titled 'the statistics of natural binocular
images' will analyse the information contained in binocular
images of natural scenes, and will combine computational=20
analyses of natural images with psychophysical experiments=20
on human depth perception. The overall aim of the project is
to establish the extent to which the human visual system is=20
tuned to the binocular depth information found in natural=20
images.=20
The post will start on 1 September 2003, or as soon as=20
possible thereafter for 29 months. You will have a PhD in=20
vision research or a related discipline. Experience of=20
research into binocular vision or natural image properties=20
would be an advantage.
