POST DOCTORAL POSITION IN DEVELOPMENTAL VISUAL NEUROBIOLOGY

A fully-funded post doctoral position is available beginning in January
2004 in the lab of Dr. Len White, Duke University Medical Center.  The
focus of the research is to explore the contributions of visual experience
to the development of direction selectivity in the visual cortex.  The
project entails the use of optical imaging of intrinsic signal methods,
extracellular and intracellular electrophysiological techniques and
anatomical tract-tracing methods in neonatal, juvenile and adult ferrets.
There are also opportunities to collaborate with colleagues in the
Department of Neurobiology.  A highly competitive salary is available.
