Postdoctoral position to participate in NIH-funded studies of photoreceptor
survival and function in genetically modified mice. The models include (but
are not limited to) transgenic mice expressing =B3super-arrestin=B2 mutants tha=
t
compensate for the lack of rhodopsin phosphorylation. We expect that
in-depth physiological studies of mice expressing these transgenes on
various genetic backgrounds will improve our understanding of the visual
signaling and mechanisms involved in its regulation. The candidate is
expected to have sufficient experience in electrophysiology to be able to
collect and analyze mouse ERG data after minimum training; to be able to
analyze retinal histology; and to perform genotyping by PCR.  Successful
candidate will join a multi-disciplinary laboratory interested in structure=
,
function, and biology of arrestin proteins. Candidates interested in
