******************************************************************

The goal of this workshop is to bring to the attention of the scientific
community opportunities for research and funding in the area of low
vision. More than four million Americans have impaired vision and could
benefit from applications of vision research. The National Eye Institute
supports research on low vision and its rehabilitation. This workshop is
open to all interested individuals but is intended primarily to acquaint
researchers not yet involved in low vision research how to apply their
interests to low vision. We especially invite people with expertise in
psychophysics, neuroscience, cognition, modeling, engineering, special
education, and clinical approaches. Young investigators, including grad
students and postdocs are warmly encouraged to attend.
