[vslist] hyperspectral images

Hi,

I wondered if somebody could point me to a piece of writing that 
explains the concept (and possibly also has practical instructions) of
hyperspectral images. I've searched and searched and searched and found
NOTHING. There must be a textbook or something!
I'm particularly interested in the reconstruction of the hyperspectral
images.
