=A0A post-doctoral Research Associate position in Visual Navigation is=20=

available in the Department of Cognitive and Linguistic Sciences=20
beginning July 1, 2004.=A0The NSF-funded project directed by Drs. =

Warren and Michael Tarr studies active navigation strategies in humans=20=

using a state-of-the-art ambulatory virtual reality laboratory (the=20
VENLab).=A0The research investigates the geometry of spatial knowledge=20=

and how it is integrated with visual landmarks and path integration=20
during learning in novel environments.=A0Duties include managing the=20
VENLab and coordinating experimental research. Candidates should have a=20=

background in human perception or spatial cognition, expertise in=20
computer graphics programming (Open GL, C++), and strong technical=20
skills.=A0Ph.D. must be completed before starting, and the position is=20=
