Open Ph.D. and Post-doc positions in Cognitive Neuroscience and 
Psychophysics at BMI, EPFL (Switzerland)

There are several openings at the Brain Mind Institute (BMI) in the 
laboratories of Cognitive Neuroscience (Olaf Blanke) and Psychophysics 
(Michael Herzog). The BMI is a recently founded Institute dedicated to 
the research of Neuroscience ranging from Neuro-genetics to 
Neuro-philosophy homed at the EPFL in Lausanne (Switzerland).

The laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience will examine all aspects of 
higher brain function with its main focus on own-body related cognitive 
processing investigating egocentric perspective taking, mental bodily 
imagery, and self-other distinction in healthy and neurological subjects.

The laboratory of Psychophysics is dedicated to the investigation of low 
and mid level vision processing including perceptual learning, visual 
masking, feature binding, and schizophrenia research.

We are searching for candidates with a strong background in experimental 
human research including EEG, TMS, Psychophysics, and Neurological and 
Psychiatric Research. Programming skills are a plus but not mandatory. 
Ph.D. students will enroll in the recently funded graduate school of 
Neuroscience at BMI. Salary is about 50.000SF/year. Please, send by
