A 3-year postdoctoral Research Officer position will be available=20
starting October 1st for an exciting new, multi-centre research project=20=
that will explore the interactions between human attention and=20
emotion.=A0The project will approach the topic from four different=20
perspectives (cognitive behavioural; ERP, computational modelling, and=20=
fMRI), each at a different centre (see below).=A0One postdoctoral=20
research position will be allocated to each centre but will =91rotate=92=20=
for a short period of time through each of the other sites to promote=20
cross disciplinary skills.=A0This is an excellent opportunity to=20
experience a wide range of important cognitive neuroscience approaches=20=
directed cohesively at a interesting and=A0topical issue.
The project=92s Centres are:=A0University of Wales, Bangor(Psychology) =
for=20
cognitive-behavioural studies;=A0Birkbeck College, London (Psychology),=20=
for ERP experiments;=A0King=92s College, London(Mathematics) for=20
computational modelling; and Oxford University (Experimental=20
Psychology) for fMRI studies.
This particular advert is to seek a postdoctoral research person to=20
work at the University of Wales, Bangor under the co-direction of=20
Kimron Shapiro and Jane Raymond on the cognitive behavioural component=20=
of the above project.
Applicants are expected to have a PhD in a relevant discipline and=20
preference will be given to those who have experience in the study of=20
=91attention=92 and/or =91emotion=92 within the domain of cognitive=20
neuroscience.=A0Programming experience with the use of E-prime or =
related=20
technical tools is an advantage.
