Job Description
Reports to faculty and the Associate Directors for Rutgers Center for =20=

Cognitive Science (RuCCS) and the Laboratory of Vision Research (LVR). =20=

Responsible for identifying, developing, implementing, upgrading and =20
maintaining the computer system facilities.  Responsibilities include =20=

designing, implementing, debugging and delivering software and hardware =20=

systems; administering departmental computer systems and networks; =20
supervising a scientific programmer; World Wide Web mastering; =20
administering connection to campus-wide networking facilities and =20
managing departmental databases.=A0

=A0 Job Requirements
Requires a masters degree or equivalent in mathematics, computer =20
science or related field and extensive relevant experience.  Also =20
requires excellent analytical skills, thorough knowledge and experience =20=

with Macintosh and PC based systems, including local area networks, C, =20=

C++, Java, Matlab, Open GL, video conferencing technology, Linux =20
servers and SGI workstations; background in image processing and =20
computer graphics; and the ability to manage change, foster improvement =20=

through innovation, effectively communicate with users, management and =20=

colleagues, prioritize, manage and perform numerous and diversified =20
programming requirements with limited assistance in a demanding, =20
fast-paced and multi-tasked environment.  Programming of scientific =20
experiments in psychophysics, both visual and auditory, and programming =20=

of real-time scientific experiments in psychophysics; knowledge of =20
MySQL, database, animated stereo visualization techniques, interest in =20=
