stop making any eye coils.

(Two Positions)

DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY

Applications are invited for two confirmation path positions at the=20
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer level (equivalent to North American tenure=20
track Assistant Professor/Associate Professor) in the Department of=20
Psychology. Appointment at a higher level may be considered for=20
suitably qualified applicants. For one position, the area of research=20
is open. For the second position, applications are particularly=20
encouraged in the areas of Health Psychology, Organisational/Human=20
Factors, and Social Psychology. The main selection criterion for both=20
positions is international distinction in research, provided that=20
there is flexibility in teaching.

The Department supports productive research programmes in=20
experimental, clinical and applied Psychology. The department was the=20
highest ranked New Zealand psychology department in a recent research=20
assessment exercise, and had the highest number of A-rated=20
researchers in any department in the country. The teaching programme=20
emphasises the development of student research skills. In addition to=20
undergraduate, Masters and PhD degrees in Psychology, the Department=20
offers postgraduate training in Clinical Psychology and contributes=20
to interdisciplinary courses in Cognitive Science and Neuroscience.=20
Excellent computing and technical facilities support the teaching and=20
research programmes in the Department.
