Vacancy Number: 2004/0530
The Cardiff University School of Optometry and=20
Vision Sciences, a school of international=20
excellence and awarded 5* in the last Research=20
Assessment Exercise, wishes to appoint a suitably=20
qualified and experienced Optometrist (preferably=20
registered with the General Optical Council) to=20
the post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer. You should=20
have a PhD and a proven record in vision=20
research, as well as some undergraduate and=20
postgraduate teaching experience. The post would=20
be suitable either for an independently minded=20
researcher with an established research area or=20
for an individual able to complement research=20
strengths already within the School, e.g.=20
refraction, visual development, myopia,=20
psychophysics, electrophysiology and retinal=20
imaging. You will enter a structured staff=20
development programme. Excellent laboratory and=20
clinical facilities are available within the=20
School which will be moving to a custom designed=20
new building in 2006.
Salary: =A323643 - =A335883 per annum (Lecturer A/B)
=A327558 - =A342573 per annum (Senior Lecturer)
